IRS (Medical) Ltd are proud to have been selected
to supply and install CCTV surveilance systems to the UK's flagship
Private Finance Initiative (PFI) hospital at St James's Hospital
in Leeds.
Currently under construction, the £220 million state-of-the-art
facility will house 12 linear accelerator treatment rooms. When
completed the 66,500m2 new Cancer Centre of Excellence, designed
to house up to 25MV high energy linear accelerators, will contain
multiple-engergy therapy machines. This flagship facility, one of
Europe’s largest cancer treatment centres, will be completed
in 2007 by contractor Bovis Lend Lease, co-founder of the Catalyst
Healthcare Private Finance Initiative consortium.
Following substantial technical evaluation, IRS (Medical) Ltd have
been selected to
supply & install discrete yet powerful 17x PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom)
dome units for the observation of patients undergoing treatment.
IRS (Medical) Ltd has experience of supplying & installing these
units in the harsh radiation-environments found within these treatment
facilities and are very proud to be a working partner in this prestigious
project.
