inconvenience to achieve these objectives.
Under current legislation, it is the 'producer of the waste' who is responsible for their waste until its final disposal. This is encompassed within the Duty of Care as defined in the Environmental Protection Act (1990). Using contractors who fail to dispose of your equipment correctly could result in heavy penalties, prosecution and possible environmental contamination. It is also an offence to allow movement of waste without using a registered carrier or one who is exempt from registration. We work closely with you throughout the process to ensure all activities are planned and executed correctly. Whenever hazardous waste is removed from any premises for disposal or recovery, appropriate consignment documentation must be completed and accompany the waste in accordance with the Hazardous Waste Regulations 2005 (introduced 16th July 2005). We provide comprehensive documentation & data to demonstrate the quantities recycled within each consignment. For more information go to The Government Hazardous Waste website at http://www.hazardouswaste.org.uk/ .
