IRS
(Medical) Ltd Selected To Decommission & Compliantly Dispose of
Used Equipment For Wolverhampton Hospitals NHS Trust.
IRS (Medical) Ltd are pleased to have been
selected to decommission & compliantly dispose of two linear
accelerators & one simulator on behalf of Wolverhampton Hospitals.
The project started witrh the decommission and extraction of the
Philips SLS series simulator equiped with a Mk 3 ram couch, with
a Philips SL Series linear accelerator,
also with a Mk 3 ram couch the following week.
The second linac, a Philips SL75/5 series is due for decommissioning
and disposal scheduled for early 2007 when replacement treatment
units have come online.
This project reinforces the key benefits of utilising IRS (Medical)
Ltd. Following order placement, Wolverhampton Hospitals were able
to devolve the project management, planning, technical requirements
and logistics support to IRS (Medical) Ltd safe in the knowledge
of a professional and effective solution whilst allowing full and
continued use of the operational department.
